Cynthia, Stevie's friend

Though I didn’t know Lindsey, I felt like I did through her sister Stevie. As Peace Corps volunteers on a tiny island, Stevie and I spent countless “waterfront” hours sharing stories about our families and life back home. It was easy to feel Stevie’s incredible bond with her sister Lindsey… a beautiful girl, with a great sense of humor, who loved to have fun, and was such a great friend. Back in the States, I loved the stories of Lindsey and Stevie’s road trip up to Vermont…and more recently, of the new little boy whom they were awaiting, who’d inevitably bring so much joy to their lives. I am so saddened by this loss and my heart goes out to all those who knew her and love her. Though I didn’t know Lindsey, I felt that her spirit was infectious, and know she’ll live on through those she loved so much.

Carolyn Gereke Good Friend of Lindsey's

The last time I spoke to Lindsey she was on her way to the Hospital to have Callum. I was so excited for her and Matt to have their first baby boy. I last saw Lindsey at her baby shower. I drove in from Houston to San Antonio for the Big Day. She was glowing with joy and so excited to have her first baby boy. We spoke of how exciting it was going to be for her and Stevie to have babies so close in age. Lindsey was excited that Callum was going to be born around her birthday and my birthday. I was two days older than Lindsey mine Dec 15 hers the 17th. The next day after her baby shower Stevie, Lindsey and Savannah had lunch with me and my mother at the River walk. I was so amazed that she came out to lunch with us because she was so pregnant. We talked about old times and played with baby Savannah. She seemed so happy with her growing family. Lindsey was an amazing friend and was always there when you needed her. We always stayed in touch and would drive to spend time together even if it was in Galveston, Houston, Clear Lake, or San Antonio.

She was an amazing person to be around and always had a glow about her. She was always a joy to be around and made people smile. I was blessed to be a part of her world and to meet all the wonderful people who surrounded her Matt, Stevie, Kelly and her Family. I have so many memories that I will keep her close to my heart.
